SD Enhanced Concealed Carry Certification
The South Dakota Enhanced Conceal carry permit class (SD Enhanced CCW) will cover use of force and laws while granting you reciprocity in 38 states once you've received your permit. The class does include live fire and we will demonstrate the difference between "marksmanship" and defensive marksmanship. These are eye opening differences and drills to practice if you plan on carrying a firearm. After You have completed this course you will finish the application with the Sheriffs office in your county. There is NO LONGER any additional state fees for acquiring your permit. There is also a small range fee of $12 that will be paid to the range for use of facility's.
Unarmed Personal Defense
A firearm is not always the answer and being able to have open hand skills is equally important to self defense as practicing with your firearm. For unarmed rtaining I would Highly recomend Midwest Martial Arts.

Defensive Pistol Program
The USCCA’s Defensive Pistol Program (DPP) is a comprehensive course designed to help participants develop essential defensive shooting skills using live-fire and dry-fire training. The program is broken into six parts, each progressively building on the last to ensure the best results for individual students. These six parts include classroom-based learning and live-fire training to fully integrate objective and performance-based training methods. By using motor learning and skill acquisition science, DPP ensures participants are equipped with the knowledge and practical experience needed for effective pistol use in a defensive context.

Additional educational Infomation
I would highly recommend the USCCA reciprocity app. You are able to enter the states that you have permits in and see what states honor your permits. The best part is that you can see each states restrictions and allowances at a click of a button. This is constantly updated by a team of lawyers and the best part is that its FREE.
